Wheat-Free Oats in Australia

Much to my surprise, I found out that I can eat oats again! Wheat-free oats that is.

In North America, I used to get Bob's Red Mill gluten-free oats. In Australia, the labeling of gluten-free oats isn't recognized. However, the Australia Food Standards Code does make a distinction between wheat-free oats and regular oats. Oats with 'wheat-free' labeling in Australia are equivalent to gluten-free oats in America. Meaning certified wheat-free oats have no measurable contamination of wheat, rye and barley. It must meet a test compliance of gluten content less than 3ppm vs 20ppm in America.

My experience of oats have been varied. Sometimes I react poorly and sometimes I am fine. This time, I am having wheat-free oats from Nature First Organic, and I am doing quite well. Oh, how happy that makes me!
Oats are a versatile ingredient in the kitchen. I am looking forward to putting oats in my smoothies and using them as a baking ingredient. What's your favorite way of eating oats?
